Pansie Sadler arrested and charged after making false rape report because she was “angry” with ex-boyfriend

Pansie Saddler, 51, of 345 Buckland Hills Drive, Manchester, CT, was angry at her boyfriend, Antonio. She thought Antonio might be messing around with someone else. So Pansie decided she’d accuse Antonio of rape.

Three days later, police arrested Antonio. They charged him with four counts of first-degree sexual assault. They also charged him with one count each of third-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct. He was was held with bail set at $250,000.

Antonio’s name and face made the news. He was suddenly famous. As an accused rapist.

According to the police warrant, physical evidence “overwhelmingly corroborate[d] the victim’s report.”

The public had no reason to doubt.

The evidence was the semen in Pansie Saddler’s vagina. It was evidence of sexual intercourse, of course, not evidence of rape. Nor did police know that Pansie Sadler had walked around all might and day with Antonio’s semen in her vagina for the single purpose of framing him for rape.

According to the Hartford Courant:

Saddler said she and [Antonio] had sexual intercourse in an attempt to “make things better” in their relationship…. But when he left that night and did not return, Saddler suspected he had gone to another woman’s home…. She was “extremely angry with him” for having sex with her and then going to see the other woman.
